You've registered your name on the driver manifest, received your safety briefing and familiarised yourself with the contours of the circuit and controls of the kart in the practice session; now it's time to RACE!

You make your way onto the start grid and settle yourself into third position. You look around at the drivers in front and behind and smile in anticipation. You face forward again to look at the red light. Your heart starts beating faster and your palms start to sweat as the excitement grows and the adrenaline flows. Any second now and the lights will change to green. You look between the drivers in front of you at the straight ahead and suddenly its GO GO GO!

The other karts are weaving around but you need to concentrate and keep to the racing line. The 2nd place driver drifts wide at the top corner and you blast past him and now you're only inches behind the leader at nearly 50mph.

You're on the last lap and time is running out. You take a quick look back, but there's no one behind. It's just you and him. Who can handle the pressure the best?

He messes up at the last corner and you see a small gap on the inside. You take your chance and accelerate into the final straight. You can see the chequered flag, he's right behind you, but he's too late. YOU WIN!

You sit back and breathe a sigh of relief as your colleagues cheer you into the pit lane. Don't get over confident though. You have more races to drive before you can qualify for the next stage and go on to drive in the Grand Final with a chance of winning the 1st prize trophy and spraying the victory champagne over your competitors.
